Sarasota County Declares Local State of Emergency to Support Recovery Efforts

Sarasota County Government has declared a local state of emergency for Sarasota County.  This follows the state’s declaration of emergency that was issued Wednesday night.  This authorizes the expenditure of public funds and authorizes applications for state and federal financial assistance in response to Tuesday’s rain event.

 

The Florida Division of Emergency Management has coordinated with Florida Commerce to open a survey for businesses to report damages.  If your business experienced flooding into structures or if it is impacting your ability to run your business at all, please fill out this link: BusinessDamageAssessmentsSurvey – Florida Disaster.
