Casey Key Road goes through repairs after a void opened last night

Sarasota County: Last night, a void in Casey Key Road opened due to the sea state and wash over from Invest 90L. Repairs are underway and appropriate emergency codes are being utilized. Repairs are estimated to be completed by end of day tomorrow. The southbound lane of N. Casey Key Road will be closed at 230 N. Casey Key Road. The northbound lane will be utilized for a single lane of alternating two-way traffic. Appropriate traffic control devices will be placed for overnight lane closures and stop-controlled two-way traffic. Pedestrians and bicyclists should avoid N. Casey Key Road to prevent conflict with work and adjusted traffic patterns.
