American Legion NO-VEL Post 159 will again host Venice’s annual Memorial Day Service at Patriots Park, 800 Venetia Bay Blvd., at 10 a.m.

Monday, May 27 with the VFW, DAV and Marine Corps League participating.

There will be a parade of colors, patriotic music, speeches, a wreath ceremony, a rifle salute, and the playing of memorial taps. Mayor Nick Pachota will present a City proclamation.

The public is invited to honor the valor and sacrifice of those who served their country with unwavering courage and gave their lives in service to defend our freedoms. Bring chairs and water to stay hydrated.
