Quick action by the NPPD leads to the arrest of two car thieves 

Quick action involving stolen vehicles has led to two arrests, so far. This afternoon, NPPD officers were notified of a stolen vehicle out of Pinellas County in the area of Wellen Park. Shortly after, officers were notified of someone entering the garage of a home in Wellen Park and stealing a vehicle from there. That vehicle was then spotted near Center and River roads by our Special Enforcement Team. Units immediately began following and initiated a brief pursuit into Sarasota off Fruitville Road. The occupants jumped out on foot and ran to a nearby apartment complex under construction. With help from the Sarasota County (FL) Sheriff’s Office and the Sarasota Police Department, two individuals were detained.
