Sarasota Police investigate Monday evening shooting

Sarasota Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place near the 2700 block of Gillespie Ave shortly after 8 p.m. Monday.
An adult victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
This incident appears isolated, and there’s no immediate danger to the public.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
