Two people rescued from scaffolding hanging from the 12th floor in downtown Sarasota

Sarasota County Fire Department is on scene of a high angle technical rescue due to a scaffolding failure in the area of S. Palm Ave. and Main St. Please avoid the area and find alternate routes. Do not walk through the yellow scene tape.
Two people were rescued from scaffolding hanging from the 12th floor of a building and are being evaluated by EMS on scene.
Crews are currently working to secure scaffolding.
