Sarasota Co. hosts several open house meetings for new FEMA Flood Zone Maps

#SRQCounty will be hosting public meetings to discuss the new flood maps FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency has issued, affecting Sarasota County property owners.
 
New flood insurance rate maps, or FIRMs, could impact your insurance requirements and premiums. Flood risk changes over time due to construction, growth, environmental impacts, floodplains widening or shifting and changes to local watersheds.
 
Missed yesterday’s? Attend one of several upcoming open houses where FEMA and local officials will answer questions about the proposed changes:
