Early morning fire totals a Suncoast home

We responded to a house fire at 6205 Padula St. at 4:33 Monday morning.
The home was fully engulfed in flames when the first crews arrived and the resident of the home was already out of the home and not injured.
The resident reported having trouble with a generator he was running when the fuel line ruptured and started the fire.
Engines 5, 6, 7, Rescue 32, Support Truck 1 and Battalion 1 all responded to the fire.
The Red Cross was called to help the resident whose home was destroyed by the fire.
The State Fire Marshal responded and is conducting an investigation.
