Road closures during Sarasota’s Veterans Day Parade – SNN

The City of Sarasota, in conjunction with the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee, will co-host the annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. in downtown Sarasota. There will be several road closures and vehicle tow-away zones for the parade on Saturday, November 11, 2023, as early as 5 a.m. in some locations (see attached map).
Parking spots need to be cleared by 3 a.m. for set up. Vehicles not removed by the posted time will be towed at the owner’s expense. For information on towed vehicles, please contact Upman’s Towing at 941-365-7084.
Bike barricades will be set up at 5 a.m., and at that point, Main Street will be closed until the parade’s conclusion. North and south roadways which are not marked on the map will remain open until 9 a.m..
Saturday, November 11, 2023, street closures:
- 5 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Main Street closed from U.S. 301 to U.S. 41
- 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Osprey Avenue from Fruitville Road to Ringling Boulevard
- 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Pineapple Avenue closed from State Street to First Street
- 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Links Avenue from Fruitville Road to Ringling Boulevard
- 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: First Street closed from Pineapple Avenue to Central Avenue
- 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Central Avenue closed from Main Street to First Street
- 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Gulfstream Avenue closed from Cocoanut to McAnsh Square
