City of Sarasota administrative offices closed Nov. 23-24 for Thanksgiving; Garbage collection schedule changes

City of Sarasota, FL (Nov. 16, 2023): City of Sarasota administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Waste collection will be affected by the holiday. There will not be any garbage, recycling or yard waste pickup on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23.
Collection will be delayed by one day:
- Thursday collection will move to Friday, Nov. 24
- Friday collection will move to Saturday, Nov. 25
Hours of operation for City facilities and services will vary:
- Arlington Park and Aquatic Complex, 2650 Waldemere St.
