North Port Fire Rescue responded to a reported house fire last night

North Port Fire Rescue: Firefighters are wrapping up after a response to a reported house fire in the 3300 block of Jennings St. The call came in at 9:31 p.m. and there was a haze in the garage when firefighters arrived. An investigation revealed a problem with the water heater in the garage. Crews disabled the power to the unit and ensured there was no fire extension beyond the water heater. Firefighters used fans to ventilate the garage. There were no injuries and no damage to the structure. #HereIfYouNeedUs
