Incident Description
Lift station teams responded to a SCADA alarm reporting a high-level wet well at the Heritage Oaks Regional lift station on Lorraine Road. Upon arrival, staff confirmed the pumps had malfunctioned from excess rags and grease. Crews were able to manually clean the pumps returning them to operation and use a vac-truck to pump down the station. During the mobilization process, approximately 2,000 gallons of raw sewage flowed out of the lift station and onto the surrounding ground. With dry soil conditions in the area, nothing was recovered. Lime was used on the affected area. Surface waters were not affected; no sampling is required. Clean-up and notifications are proceeding per protocol.
