FBI search warrant on Easy Street, Child Porn Arrest – Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office including our Major Crimes Unit, Intelligence Unit, and Road Patrol deputies, assisted the FBI Task Force with a search warrant at 3322 Easy Street early this morning.

 

After receiving an online tip, via the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), the Task Force launched an aggressive investigation. As a result, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Task Force Detective D. Woelke was able to establish probable cause for the arrest of Kayvon A. McGuinness (11/15/2001) for the charges of Possession of Child Pornography (15 counts).

 

McGuinness was located at the residence, cooperated, and was taken into custody without incident. This is still an active investigation with additional charges pending.

 

“I can assure you that swift action was taken to ensure the safety of our children,” states Sheriff Bill Prummell.
