Suncoast: Apartment fire displaces two individuals

Saturday afternoon, we responded to a fire call at the Villas Del Sol apartments. One unit was heavily damaged by fire before we were able to put the fire out. Three other units had smoke damage.
We treated and transported one patient to local hospital for smoke inhalation.
Two people lived in the unit. The Red Cross is assisting the families affected. Our fire marshal is on the scene and working with investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s office to try and determine the cause of the fire.
