CCSO warns the public about a scam going around

It has been brought to our attention that several people have received calls from someone who claims to be a “Sgt. Stone” with our agency, calling to inform you of jury duty fees you must pay.
This is a scam.
CCSO does not have a “Sgt. Stone”, nor would we call you and demand you to make payments of any kind. If you receive this call, please hang up and do not engage with the caller.
