North Venice residents sound the alarm over VeniceGrocery.org’s petition pushing the development of Pat Neal’s regional shopping center

This email was sent to me. I can tell you that I know Eric Robinson and he is a CPA to a lot of the PAC’s, along with candidates. However, I do not think he likes the nickname “Prince of Dark Money” or that is what he has communicated to me. Thoughts?

TEXT MESSAGES FROM VERY SUSPICIOUS VENICEGROCERY.ORG
Many of us in North Venice have received text messages promoting the regional shopping center.
One of our neighbors, Mr Happer researched the orign. His findings follow:
“Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Recently lots of us have received text messages to our mobile phones promoting a new Petition to support Pat Neal’s proposed regional shopping center directly across from the entrance to the Venetian. Numerous homeowners in the Venetian have asked who is behind this “marketing” effort.
The solicitation says: “studies and experts can prove that a grocery store built east of I-75 in Venice would reduce our traffic by 27%, saving time and gas for all of our neighbors.” I believe that inviting the planned 7,000 homeowners east of I-75 to converge on a regional shopping center across from the entrance to the Venetian will more likely create a traffic nightmare and that is why the POA Survey showed that over 75% of the homeowners in the Venetian opposed it.
On the venicegrocery.org website it is claimed that it is “a grassroots collection of neighbors and friends here in North Venice lead (sic) by our chairman, Casey Riley, dedicated to improving the quality of life for all our neighbors in North Venice.”
A WHOIS search of the Internet Domain “venicegrocery.org” shows that the Registry Registrant ID and Registrant Name is shown as: “ REDACTED FOR PRIVACY”.
A real property search for “chairman, Casey Riley” did not show ownership of any property in Sarasota County in his name.
Casey Riley is listed as a “CPA Candidate” with (Eric) Robinson, (Joe) Gruters & (Donna) Roberts CPAs at 133 South Harbor Drive on Venice Island. See: https://robinsongruters.com/
The April 2017 issue of Sarasota Magazine said: “Eric Robinson likes to call himself the “Prince of Darkness,” mocking his reputation as the money man behind scores of political campaigns across Florida. Several of those campaigns tarred opponents in mailers with false accusations and hid the names of donors, often land developers and other wealthy businessmen, behind patriotic-sounding, made-up groups such as “Stand for Veterans” and “Working Together for Florida.”
Would you like to ask Mr. Pat Neal if he is involved directly or indirectly with venicegrocery.org whose ownership is REDACTED FOR PRIVACY and its Petition to support his proposed shopping center and his claim that it will reduce of traffic by 27%?”
