The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a shooting investigation.
 
Early Wednesday morning around 3:00 a.m., deputies were called to the 1100 block of Grantham Drive in Sarasota for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, deputies located a 31-year-old man in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was transported to the hospital to receive medical care however, his prognosis is not favorable at this time.

Detectives believe this is an isolated incident with no immediate threat to the public. No additional details are being released at this time however, updates will be provided as they become available.
