Man suffers a gun shot wound in Sarasota

This morning (11/6/22) around 3am Officers were patrolling the area of 23rd Street and North Osprey Avenue when they heard a single gun shot in the area.
Officers then observed a vehicle leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop. Contact was made with the occupants and located a passenger who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition. The occupants of the vehicle were cooperative; however no suspect information at this time.
Detectives and our Crime Scene Unit canvassed and processed the scene. No further information is available at this time.
