CITY OF NORTH PORT, FL – The City of North Port will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Customer Care Call Center at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at City Hall, 4970 City Hall Blvd.
The Customer Care Call Center plays a vital part in daily City Hall operations, providing customer service to all walk-in visitors. The front desk staff help direct the public to internal and county offices, answer incoming calls and receive packages/deliveries for all departments in the building. They answer general questions, assist with online inspections, help with website navigation and direct callers with more technical questions to the appropriate City departments.
Call Center employees are trained to handle a multitude of call types, and calls are returned within a 24-hour period if not answered immediately. The Customer Care Call Center receives approximately 2,000 calls a week, one of the many ways citizens can connect with us.
“Being responsive to our citizens is at the core of what we do as a local government, and our Customer Care Call Center is essential to creating a positive first impression and providing top-notch customer service,” said City Manager Jerome Fletcher.
Friday’s ribbon-cutting will be held on the first floor of City Hall. Light refreshments will be provided.
