This morning, Sarasota County Schools’ leadership team held a press conference to share updates regarding school reopening. Our traditional public schools will send an update to their families and staff this afternoon with more details, but we wanted to share the following information as soon as possible.

Sarasota County Schools will reopen in phases. Phase 1 will include all traditional public schools in and North of Venice. Phase 2 will be all our traditional public schools in Englewood and North Port.

The following schools are projected to open Monday, October 10:

Brookside Middle School

Suncoast Technical College – Sarasota Campus

The following traditional public schools are projected to open Monday, October 17:

Suncoast Technical College – North Port Campus
