Holic sets up a meeting with Seaboard landowners to implement a plan for the redevelopment.  Venice’s very own River Walk?

** Update ** After I posted about this meeting, Council Member Rachel Frank replied back to Holic asking if the meeting can be rescheduled.

Former mayor and a huge supporter of Nick Pachota, even holding a fundraiser for Nick, continues his push to redevelop Seaboard into Venice’s version of a River Walk.  This is one of the reasons why the LDR height issue has been a concerns of Venice Unites.  Who is paying Holic to push this agenda and is that why he is pushing Nick’s candidacy so hard? You can read about Holic’s vision of redeveloping Seaboard from back in 2013, in Herald Tribune article.  To read it click — >>> here

Good Morning Rachel,
I have organized a meeting of a core group of property owners in the Seaboard area of Venice to be held on October 3 at 2:00 pm in the community room at City Hall. There will be about 6 landowners, a developer, a representative from the Venice Chamber of Commerce, the Venice City Manager, two former city council members a current city council member(if you are willing), and hopefully a county commissioner.
The focus of the meeting is to listen to the landowners so that all of us can have a first-hand understanding of the expectations of the people who own the land. At a follow-up meeting, those of us who are not landowners can discuss ways to implement a plan for the redevelopment of that area that attempts to meet the expectations of the landowners as the area is underutilized and not coming close best use of the land within the city limits.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you will be able to attend this meeting.
Thanks,
John Holic
