Shortly before 2:40 pm today (08/08/22) an unidentified man entered the bank at 11215 US 301 N, Parrish and approached the bank counter. The suspect dropped a package on the counter along with a note demanding cash, and a threatening statement about “blowing up” the bank. The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and moments later, the suspect walked out of the bank.

He was seen driving away in a possibly older Ford Fusion, blue in color. Deputies are following leads, and looking for him now. The MCSO Bomb Squad is on the scene and examining a devise left behind to determine if it is in fact explosive.

The suspect appears to be an older white male, around 5’9, 170lbs, with a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a blue shirt, gray shorts, white tennis shoes, and tan fishing-style hat.
