North Port Police arrest a man from Lakeland for traveling to meet a child
Francesco Abbruzzino, The Uncensored Report, LLC
NPPD: If you prey on the children of North Port, we will do whatever it takes, within the law, to hold you accountable. John Stanford, 25, of Lakeland, was surprised to find himself in the back of a patrol vehicle Thursday. He was arrested on charges of battery, child molestation, using a computer to lure a child, traveling to meet a child, and depriving custody of a child. The victim was 14 years old at the time. Stanford initially met the victim online, then sent money, and ultimately traveled to North Port multiple times. He was picked up in Lakeland Thursday with help from the Lakeland PD and the FDLE Fugitive Task Force. People like this are out there, please do whatever you can to protect our kids. We are here to help if needed!
