City of North Port
Effective June 22, 2022, the City of North Port’s impact fees have increased. We understand that no one likes price increases, but this was a needed step in a positive direction. The City of North Port has grown at an exponential rate over the past decade, roads and infrastructure have not been able to keep pace. This has partially been due to discounted impact fees paid by developers, which placed a heavier burden on our community’s taxpayers.
To ensure that new development pays for its increased impacts to our roads, police and fire, utilities, and other services, the city has increased impact fees that will be charged to developers.
These increases put North Port more in-line with other regional communities and enables our infrastructure and service needs to keep pace with new development without increasing taxes for our residents.
