SCSO is investing a death after a man was found in the mangroves off Vamo Dr in Sarasota

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a man was found Sunday near a kayak launch in the 1600 block of Vamo Drive in Sarasota.

 
Just before noon, deputies received the report of a deceased man lying in the mangroves. Members of our Criminal Investigations Section responded to the scene where they located the body of Justin King Taylor, DOB 05/02/89. Next of kin has been notified.
 

Through very preliminary investigation, detectives do not believe Taylor’s death is suspicious or involves any foul play. It is critical to mention however, that as always, an official cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
