We responded to another serious car accident caused by high speed. Just before 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, we received a call for a car on fire because of an accident.
The female driver of a 2014 red Camaro lost control of her car while heading north on Veterans Blvd coming from Kings Hwy. The car slammed head on into a pine tree and caught on fire. The drivers door would not open so good samaritans broke the passenger side window and pulled the woman from the burning car. The patient suffered serious burns and injuries including a compound fracture to her lower right leg. She was airlifted to Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers.
