Sarasota Police are conducting a death investigation

The Sarasota Police Department is conducting a death investigation in the 1900 block of North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
 
Just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, a body of an adult was found near the shore of Whitaker Bayou by two people.
 

It’s too early in the investigation to tell if foul play is suspected. The Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death of the victim.
