North Port police locate an injured woman in Carlton Preserve

City of North Port: Teamwork across our fire and police departments helped to locate an injured woman off the beaten path. A mountain biker enjoying the Carlton Reserve had crashed and sustained a leg injury Thursday afternoon. North Port Fire Rescue and North Port Police Department responded and immediately started a search. Though they knew where she was located, the area was hard to access. Fire crews on a UTV were eventually able to reach her and bring her to safety. She’s now being cared for and will be alright. Great work to both departments for a speedy response.
