A local news station accidentally ran a photo of Joe Biden while discussing a news item about an elderly man charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

The epic mistake happened during a WTAE Channel 4 Pittsburgh broadcast Tuesday, just hours ahead of Biden’s State of the Union address.

In screen recordings of the incident going viral across social media, a WTAE reporter tells viewers about a 71-year-old man who was accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl at a local Walmart.

Amid her report, a photo of Joe Biden appeared on screen grinning from ear to ear with a caption about the night’s forthcoming State of the Union Address.

At the same time, the camera switches to another reporter while attempting to avoid airing the epic blunder, however, the reporter is caught off-guard and instead viewers see his horrified expression at the train wreck segment.

While the initial story regarded 71-year-old Roger Nigriss’s alleged sexual assault of a minor, the on-air gaffe is fascinating because the man’s charges parallel similar accusations made against Biden, who has frequently been witnessed inappropriately touching and sniffing little girls.
