London commuters were shocked to witness a vicious knife fight aboard a busy double-decker bus this week, according to reports.

The terrifying incident unfolded at around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday on the top deck of a public bus in Streatham, a district in south London, England.

Video footage shared on social media shows one suspect wielding a massive blade as another male attempts to defend himself with a stick.

“The fight went on for five minutes with the boys, who look to be young teenagers, openly brandishing their weapons in front of passengers,” the Evening Standard reports.

Both suspects can be seen wearing face masks, which helped obscure their identities.

“I filmed for three seconds before they came further back. They didn’t say anything to anyone else but everyone ran behind me,” the witness who filmed the battle said.

The combatants fled the scene and have not been caught, according to the latest available updates.

“Police were called at 16:41hrs on Thursday, 3 February to reports of a fight on board a bus in the area of Telford Avenue, SW2,” a police spokesman explained.

“Officers attended but all of those involved had fled prior to their arrival. There were no reported injuries. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
