U.S. Border Patrol agents got into a heated argument with CBP Chief Raul Ortiz in Laredo, Texas, on Friday as Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was visiting.

In leaked video from the meeting, Ortiz, with Mayorkas in the room, confirmed morale at the agency was at an “all-time low.”

“I do think that we’re losing too many agents,” Ortiz said. “As an organization, we gotta start taking care of each other.”

“I get it,” Ortiz continued. “You come to work, you’re frustrated. You’re upset because you didn’t get the desired outcome that you want. Doesn’t mean you give up.”

One agent said they haven’t given up, but that they’re frustrated with their agency flouting U.S. law and aiding and abetting illegal aliens into America.

“We’re not,” one agent responded.

“I know you’re not,” Ortiz replied. “That’s why I’m saying, we don’t give up. We stay focused, we continue to do the job and the mission that we signed up for. We all signed up for it, we all raised our hand.”

But agents saw through Ortiz’s rhetoric, noting they’re all helping the federal government break the law.

“It’s kinda hard to say that when…” one agent began to say.

“It’s not hard to say it,” Ortiz shot back. “It may be hard for you to say it, I’ve been doing this for 31 years. It’s not hard for me to say it.”

One agent then called out: “You keep releasing criminal aliens into the country!”

But the CBP chief insisted agents were just getting “bogged down” in politics.

“That’s the problem, chief,” one agent interjected. “For evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. That’s exactly what’s happening here. Good men are doing nothing. You’re allowing illegal aliens to be dropped off in communities.”

Ortiz again gaslit his own agents by claiming they’re doing a lot of good by getting fentanyl and meth off the streets despite letting hundreds of thousands of illegals into the U.S.

“And under this administration, in the last year, we’ve got the highest fentanyl deaths in the history of our country,” one person in the room shot back.

As previously noted, Mayorkas was actually in the room while the agents chewed out the CBP chief.

Border Patrol agents have become increasingly irate at the Biden administration for essentially transforming the agency into a taxi cab service for illegal aliens.

Even Mayorkas was forced to admit earlier this week that illegal alien border crossings were the worst in over 20 years, “if not ever.”

In addition to the half a million illegal aliens who were released into the U.S. in 2021, the Biden administration helped at least 45,000 illegals charter domestic commercial flights across America.
