Due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases and for the safety of our staff we are making some temporary changes to some City Departments to ensure that we can provide services while reducing the risk of spreading the virus.
With a positivity rate now above 11% for our area, beginning Monday, January 3, we are temporarily transitioning to online services only for the Building, Utilities, Code Enforcement, Economic Development, and Planning/Zoning Divisions. City Hall will remain open but access to one on one interaction with staff will be restricted. Business and services will continue through our drive-thru window, online, and over the phone.
It should be noted that City Hall is closed in general for the Observance of the New Year Holiday on Friday, December 31. Parks & Recreation’s Community Centers and the Aquatic Center will be closed for the holiday on 12/31 and 1/1. However Warm Mineral Springs Park will be operating everyday per the normal scheduled hours.
You can pick up/drop off permits at the Utilities drive-thru at City Hall 4970 City Hall Blvd. or use the 24/7 secure drop-box located near the Utilities drive-thru. Before picking up a permit you must make a payment online then schedule a pick-up time. You can do this by emailing [email protected] or calling 941-429-7044. You can apply for your permits online at www.cityofnorthport.com/permit and check the status of your scheduled inspection at www.cityofnorthport.com/inspections.
Payments for your Utilities accounts can be made at the drive-thru. Additionally, many Utilities services can be accessed through our website at www.CityofNorthPort.com/Utilities such as electronic bill payment, checking water/sewer availability at a specific property, finding information on when backflow testing is required for your property, and making changes to your account. You can also pay your utility bill by phone at 941-429-7122 option 1.
To inquire about Economic Development, please call 941-429-7029.
To inquire about Planning, 941-429-7164 or [email protected]

Both the Utility field office on Price Blvd. and the Public Works Administration building on Chamberlain Blvd. will be closed to traffic.
The North Port Police Department lobby is accessible. Scheduling of fingerprinting is currently on hold.
North Port Fire Rescue follows the Centers for Disease Control guidelines for medical first responders, which currently requires additional infection prevention and control practices. Fire Station access will continue to be restricted and requires the screening of visitors for symptoms consistent with COVID-19 prior to entry.
Parks and Recreation facilities have remained open and continue to provide service with enhanced cleaning protocols. You can find more at www.cityofnorthport.com/parksandrecreation.
