Nokomis man dies after a hit and run this morning on Laurel Rd

The FHP is looking for the individual that hit a 52-year-old man earlier this morning on Laurel Road. The Nokomis man passed away from his injuries. A pickup truck ran a red light while traveling east on Laurel Rd, at the 75-exit ramp. The pickup hit another pick-up at the light, which was driven by an individual from Nokomis. Another driver was seriously injured, in a third vehicle that was struck.
The driver of the pickup truck that ran the light, fled on foot and is being sought out.
