Sarasota Police vehicle involved in a crash overnight

UPDATE: Both the officer involved and the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash have non-life threatening injuries.

We are investigating a two vehicle crash involving a SPD patrol vehicle at Myrtle and North Tamiami Trail (US 41).  Northbound US 41 is closed, Southbound US 41 is open. Traffic is being re-routed. Please find an alternate route.
