North Port man arrested for inappropriate material involving children

Monday, the North Port Police Department conducted a search warrant in the 7500 block of Joppa Street in regards to inappropriate material involving children. At the conclusion of the search, Douglas Ben Sanders (57) of North Port was arrested on 40 counts of possession of an image/video of child pornography. He is currently in custody without bond in the Sarasota County Jail.
