Come and join the Twentieth (20th) Anniversary Memorial Ceremony of the horrific attacks on September 11th, 2011. The 9.11 Victims and Fallen Heroes Memorial Ceremony will be held at Patriots Park in Venice, Florida on Saturday, September 11th, 2021 and begins at 10:30am and ends at 12:00noon.

Retired USAF Master Sargent Barbara Vaughn  (local Venice phone #941-483-0773) will once again be the HOST/MC.

There will be Music By: The Lion Rampant Pipe and Drum Band Sarasota, Florida and  Jim Chaps, who sings New York For Firemen, has recorded six albums. His music is available online on spotify, amazon, apple iTunes and on the Jim Chaps channel on YouTube. Jim wrote the 9-11 tribute song about Venice resident Retired FDNY FF Jerry Hanley whose son Sean died that day. Jim learned about Hanley from a Venice Gondolier newspaper article written by Kim Cool at the Sept. 11 ceremony at Patriots Park. There will be Guest Speakers, First Responders, Gold Star Parents and Our Military Heroes who have served in the War on Terrorism.

Salt of the Earth USA through personal and donated funds built the 9.11 Victims and Fallen Military Heroes Memorial at Patriots Park in Venice, Florida for the sole intention to remind visitors to the Memorial of the impact of the events of September 11, 2001 on the citizens of this great country and the extraordinary civic response that grew from this contemporary historic event. The 9.11 Victims and Fallen Military Heroes Memorial honors the more than 3,000 people killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. As a result of those attacks on 9/11/01, there has been 7015 US casualties (as confirmed by U.S. Central Command) to date in the War on Terrorism. Salt of the Earth USA has engraved the names of 700+ including Civilians, 1st Responders and Fallen Military Heroes who have been killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
