Sarasota County Red Tide Update

#SRQCounty Red Tide update for Aug. 24. Staff observed fish wash-ups and red tide aerosols to be minor on most beaches. However, fish wash-ups were heaviest in the southern portion of the county from Venice Island to Manasota Key. Mechanical beach raking occurred on Siesta Key and Venice Island and hand removal of fish occurred on Manasota Key.
