Get to know the North Port City Manager candidates

The City of North Port continues to search for the next City Manager. After a national inquiry, two finalists will be interviewed next week.

Alfred (Jerome) Fletcher and Matthew (Matt) LeCerf are the two candidates. There are some great ways for the public to take part in getting to know the two.

A Community Meet & Greet will take place on Monday, August 9^th, 6:00 – 7:30 pm.  The details are as follows:

Location: City Commission Chambers

                 4790 City Hall Blvd

Both finalists will give a brief introduction with a bit about themselves. After that, the community will be able to chat with the candidates and ask questions or engage in conversation. Light refreshments will be provided. Masks are encouraged for this event.

Prior to the event, the candidates will have one on one interviews with City Commissioners. They will also meet with Senior staff.

Tuesday August 10^th a Commission Special Meeting with the candidates will take place. Candidates will be interviewed by the Commission body as a whole. That meeting will be held in the Commission Chambers and begins at 9:30am. It is of course open to the public as well.
