Biden Calls For More Gun Control, Arguing Americans Don’t Have The Firepower To Overthrow The Government Anyways

Reinvigorating the left’s push for stricter gun control on Wednesday, Joe Biden joined Attorney General Merrick Garland to tell the American people why they are pushing for more gun regulations.

Once again coming off strange and confusing, Biden appeared to threaten the American public by essentially telling us we’d never win a violent revolution thanks to modern technology.

“The Second Amendment, from the day it passed, limited the type of people that could own a gun and what type of weapon you could end. You couldn’t buy a cannon,” he claimed

In typical Biden fashion, that statement is totally false and he’s even been called out for promoting the false claim in the past.

An Austin-American Statesman fact-check from June of 2020 concluded Biden was full of it when he claimed, “You weren’t allowed to own a cannon during the Revolutionary War as an individual.”

“It seems highly unlikely that there were restrictions on the private ownership” of cannons, a historian and director of military studies at Baylor University named Julie Anne Sweet told the outlet.

Next, Sleepy Joe butchered the famous Thomas Jefferson quote, which goes, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

Instead, Biden bumbled, “Those that say the blood of the… the blood of patriots, you know and all the stuff about how we’re gonna have to move against the government.”

He continued, “Well, the tree of liberty is not watered with the blood of patriots, what’s happened is that there have never been… if you want, if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons. The point is, there has always been the ability to limit the type of ability that can be owned and who can own them.”

What Joe fails to realize is that our military struggled with rice farmers who dug into the earth in Vietnam, as well as men living in caves in Middle East deserts.

How would they handle the most heavily-armed population in the history of the planet?

One can’t be sure, but the other thing Biden forgets is that the military overwhelmingly supports anti-globalist policies and many of them would be on the side of We The People.

Ironically, the main function of the Second Amendment is for the public to have the means to protect itself from the government or foreign threats.
