Airbnb suspended a listing in western Montana Tuesday, citing the owners banning individuals who have taken the COVID-19 vaccine.
The listing drew Airbnb’s attention after New York Times writer Charlie Warzel shared the listing on Twitter, which he claims was sent to him.
“WE ARE RESTRICTING THE CABIN TO NON-COVID VACCINATED GUESTS ONLY,” a screenshot of the listing reads. “For the health and safety [of] not only other guests but also ourselves, all COVID vaccinated guests are asked to find another vacation rental that allows vaccinated guests.”
Was just sent an Airbnb listing for a cabin in western Montana that, uh, only allows NON-vaccinated visitors. The next few months will continue to be fun, I'm sure… pic.twitter.com/UUoIhiVE0f

The owner of the property described his concerns about “scientifically proven” vaccine shedding as his reason for prohibiting vaccinated individuals from renting his cabin.
“It has now been scientifically proven and is clearly stated on the vaccine manufacturers web sites, that the mRNA protein in the ingredients SHED through the vaccinated person’s skin, breath, etc, and will be passed along to non-vaccinated people.”
The owners explained to Warzel that they operate on the “honor system” and don’t require any kind of proof of vaccination.

The owners had apparently seen Warzel’s Twitter thread about them soon after, because they then told him that the cabin “will not be available” to him and that he knew “exactly why.”
An Airbnb spokesperson told BuzzFeed News the listing for the cabin was suspended Sunday night “for promoting COVID misinformation in violation of our content policy.”
That policy forbids hosts from posting any listing that “encourages guests to ignore applicable health or travel advisories” or “includes any health information specific to COVID-19.”
Despite the media and even the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s best attempts to label vaccine shedding as a conspiracy theory, plenty of medical literature describes vaccine shedding as a known occurrence.
Indeed, within Pfizer-BioNTech’s own report about its COVID-19 vaccines, Section 8.3.5 describes “mRNA vaccine shedding” in which it is possible for those who have been in close proximity of someone who has had the Pfizer mRNA jab to suffer an adverse reaction.
Specifically, it describes “exposure during pregnancy” to the COVID vaccine is possible due “environmental” factors like “inhalation or skin contact.”
