Sarasota Sheriff creates a new way of posting sexual offenders alerts, starting with ten from Sarasota to North Port

We are taking a slightly new approach to our sex offender and predator registration notifications. Historically, we have written individual news releases as a courtesy, notifying our followers when a new offender or predator has moved to Sarasota County. Those news releases tend to get lost in our news feed and can be time consuming!

We created this album where we will post registrations as they come in. That way you can always see current registrations in one place.

As a reminder, we provide the overwhelming majority of these notifications for offenders as a courtesy and are only required by law to notify the public of predators. We mention that because we don’t want anyone to think we have an above average number of registrations in our area. Not every agency provides this courtesy, but we do!
