Sarasota County receives funds to help households that are unable to pay rent or utilities due to the pandemic

Sarasota County has received $13 million from the U.S. Department of Treasury Emergency Rental Assistance program to help households unable to pay rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible households may receive up to 12 months of assistance, plus an additional three months if needed to ensure housing stability, as long as funds are available.

 

Those interested in the Emergency Rental Assistance program can now sign up to be notified when the application portal opens. Those who sign up for notifications will also receive additional updates on the Emergency Rental Assistance program.
