Remember the bust earlier this week for around 5 grams of Fentanyl? Well…This week, the North Port Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, with the assistance of the Special Enforcement Team, executed a narcotics search warrant in the 8700 block of Porto Bello Ave. A search of the residence revealed 450 grams (appx a pound) of methamphetamine, 13.9 grams of fentanyl, 13 grams of cocaine along with other drugs. In addition to the drugs, detectives located numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia used to manufacture crack cocaine as well as a firearm. Detective’s arrested Jennifer Hanlon (46) and Orlando Andrews (30), for Trafficking in Methamphetamine over 400 grams, Trafficking in Fentanyl 4-14 grams, Possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and a number of other charges.

While awaiting transport to the Sarasota Jail, Andrews attempted to discard several more baggies of methamphetamine in the back seat of the patrol car. These weighed an additional 4.4 grams. Nice try!

These arrests are the result of months worth of great investigative work. We’re gonna find out. We’re gonna build the case. You’re gonna go to jail. Just stop already. Jeez. KEEP YOUR ILLEGAL HARMUL DRUGS OUT OF NORTH PORT, or we’ll see ya real soon!
