The developers of Wellen Park are paying for the relocation process of 26 heritage trees within the Wellen Park downtown development project. The process of relocating the trees is very precarious, and to that end the developer has hired a firm with a success rate of 95% to carefully relocate them. The preservation of these trees allows for the downtown to be developed with a sense of place that has some history within all the new development.
