Venice Bypass intermittent frontage road closures begin 3/16

Crews will begin milling and paving the frontage road on the southbound side of U.S. 41 Bypass on Tuesday night, March 16. This includes businesses from Venice Toyota dealership south to Public Storage. This nighttime construction activity is planned for three consecutive days, weather permitting. In order to complete this work, please remove any vehicles parked on or just off of the frontage road. There will be no access to the frontage road from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should expect delays and watch for crews as they travel to and from the businesses in the project limits. The map below left highlights the portion of the southbound area to be worked on from Tuesday, March 16, through Thursday, March 18.
Beginning Wednesday night, March 17, crews will begin milling and paving the frontage road on the northbound side of U.S. 41 Bypass. This includes businesses from the plaza with Bob’s Scooters and Venice Heating & Cooling heading north to where the frontage road ends at Gulf Coast Boulevard. This nighttime construction activity is planned for three consecutive days, weather permitting. In order to complete this work, please remove any vehicles parked on or just off of the frontage road. There will be no access to the frontage road from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should expect delays and watch for crews as they travel to and from the businesses in the project limits. The map below right highlights the portion of the northbound area to be worked on from Wednesday, March 17 through Friday, March 19.
