Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a possible person of interest in kayak thefts on Lido Key

Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a possible person of interest in kayak thefts on Lido Key. One victim told Sarasota Police detectives that his yellow Pelican single-seat kayak was stolen.

This is one of at least six kayaks that have been stolen since March 1, 2021, on Lido Key. Many of the kayaks have not been secured. Sarasota Police encourage kayak owners to always secure their property.
