This is video our Marine Patrol officers captured this week of a COYOTE swimming in #Sarasota Bay!
A charter captain called our Marine Patrol to let them know about a possible dog stranded in New Pass. When Officer Dixon first arrived, he jumped in the water attempting to capture it with no luck. A short time later, Officer Dixon jumped in the water again only to realize the dog was actually a coyote. 
Officer Dixon guided the coyote back towards land and onto the rocks near Ken Thompson Park where it sprinted back into the woods safely.
