Teenage skateboarder is hit by a car in North Port

Around 3:40 Saturday NPPD and NPFR were called to Balsey Street for a traffic crash, wherein a driver struck a 13-year-old female on a skateboard at a relatively low rate of speed. The 13-year-old was skating in the roadway near her home. The juvenile suffered abrasions, but was alert and coherent on scene. She was, however, transported to All Children’s Hospital for precaution only. Be safe out there everyone!

 

Around 3:40pm Sat units responded to Balsey St. wherein a driver struck a 13-year-old female on a skateboard at a relatively low rate of speed. Skateboarder was in the roadway. The juvenile suffered abrasions, but was alert & coherent on scene. Transported for precaution only.
