Suncoast: Motorcyclist is in serious condition, after being clipped by a driver in a vehicle

A driver hit the back of a 61-year-old motorcyclist yesterday in Pt. Charlotte. It happened yesterday afternoon on Kings Highway. The motorcyclist stopped to make a merge onto the road, when a vehicle failed to slow down.
The driver of the vehicle tried to swerve and avoid hitting the motorcyclist, but the driver ended up clipping the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist ended up with some serious injuries and the driver of the vehicle was charged with careless driving.
