State Rep. Randy Fine in a letter to Governor Ron DeSantis Tuesday demanded the state divest from tech giants Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Apple, and Alphabet (Google) due to their suspension of President Donald Trump’s social media accounts and their moves to shut down social media platform Parler.

 

“If the President of the United States can be silenced by these companies, then so can anyone,” the south Brevard Republican wrote in his letter, which called for “the immediate divestment of any Florida-held equity and debt” in the companies. Fine posted his letter on Facebook and Twitter, from his iPhone.
